This 2021 Barolo Monvigliero, being extremely young, will present with vibrant primary aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and rose petals, underpinned by notes of fresh tar, licorice, and dried herbs. On the palate, it will be intensely structured with high acidity and formidable, grippy tannins. A concentrated core of red fruit will be present, with a long, powerful, and somewhat austere finish. With significant aging, these youthful characteristics will evolve into a complex bouquet of dried flowers, truffle, forest floor, and leather, with integrated, silky tannins.
