Josetta Saffirio’s Barbera d’Alba Superiore was born in the sub-area of Castelletto, in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba, from a soil made up of silt, clay and sand in balanced proportions and rich in mineral salts. Following the manual harvest of the grapes, the must is obtained with a soft pressing of the berries. Fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 30-32 ° C and maceration on the skins for 8-10 days. The wine ages in wooden barrels for about 12 months. Purple red with garnet flashes. The nose lets perceive a vivid and precise scent of black currant, while its taste satisfies the palate with the right balance between freshness and structure.
